Background
Llumarlite have been offering energy efficient lighting solutions to industry for over ten years.
Llumarlite had already made a significant investment in their IT infrastructure and as a modern, progressive company, could see the importance of IT within their organisation. Llumarlite were looking for a supplier who would not only support their IT, but be pro-active with their requirements as their business changed With this in mind, they were also looking to reduce the costs of supporting their technology.
The Solution
A centralised server running Microsoft SBS 2003 in conjunction with terminal services was deployed. Secure links using VPN’s (virtual private networking) over ADSL broadband was implemented. The support of the infrastructure by EJD is a mix of both on site and remote services for Llumarlite’s centralised maintenance and management of servers and personal computers.
The Result
Llumarlite now have a reliable and fully supported IT infrastructure to support their day to day business functions.

DRA Public Relations Ltd
Background
DRA Public Relations Ltd has been handling public relations for major corporate clients for years. DRA provide positive results for clients by creating press releases, working with journalists, developing and managing imaginative press campaigns.
DRA needed to enhance their operation which required a review of their IT infrastructure and a software and hardware refresh. Following a detailed system audit, EJD offered the experience and resources to provide a comprehensive proposal for DRA’s systems which included support for most of the leading suppliers such as Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Cisco and 3-Com. Due to the remote location of DRA’s offices, broadband facilities were not available so part of the review meant that EJD investigated other viable broadband alternatives such as ISDN and satellite broadband.
The Solution
Integrating the existing IT infrastructure with the new system enhancements quickly delivered measurable improvements to the day to day operations for DRA. EJD were able to successfully install and integrate a new satellite broadband service together with the latest technology and service techniques. The proposition of out of hours support, regular health checks, remote monitoring of system performance and service reviews have all contributed to highlighting and resolving any potential system issues before impacting on DRA’s public relations business. EJD provided a one-stop shop for all of DRA’s IT needs; they no longer need to rely upon several different suppliers to handle their IT requirements.

Both domestic and business broadband services have now been provided in the DRA locality. As part of the on-going proactive IT support contract with DRA, EJD have migrated their broadband from the satellite service.
